I haven’t been keeping up with The Daily Show much lately, but every once in a while I’ll hit up their website. I just finished watching Jon’s long interview with MIT professor Missy Cummings. She was also featured on NOVA’s “Rise of the Drones” special.
In particular, I liked how she tried to assuage Jon’s (mostly) comical fear of drones and the topic of do-it-yourself drones came up as well. She even divulged a couple of commercial applications in which drones might take over parcel delivery, and how there’s been a helicopter doing just that in Afghanistan for the last year. All-in-all it was a fun interview, as they primarily are at TDS.
