Via TheWrap, Johnny Depp will star in a new Christopher Nolan-produced, Wally Pfister-directed flick that covers the Singularity, nanotechnology and AI:
According to a recent script summary obtained by TheWrap, the plot involves a scientist whose brain is uploaded into a supercomputer with the aim of creating the world’s first machine that can think for itself.
The film’s producer, Andrew Kosove, confirmed in an interview with TheWrap on Tuesday: “It is true Johnny Depp’s brain is uploaded into a computer.”

The Wrap warns that the script summary it received could be out of date, but honestly as long as the film includes brain supercomputers and Christopher Nolan, we are optimistic. Ray Kurzweil is also rumored to be an advisory to this the movie.
