Robot Central analyst Jonas Lamis has joined the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence (“SIAI”) board as Director of Partnerships. As SIAI gains momentum, Lamis plans to bridge the divide between the theoretical work of the institute and the business and investment communities that are evolving to deliver Singularity enabling technologies. In this role, he will also be co-managing the 2008 Singularity Summit.
Lamis believes that the emerging synergies between Robotics, Nanotechnology, Life Extension technologies, and Artificial Intelligence will bring about major disruptions to today’s technology economy. He blogs on the subject at Singularity University as well as on Robot Central.
